Amber alert issued for Texas boyPolice tracking leads in 14-year-old's disappearance
HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) -- Police searched Friday night for a 14-year-old boy who was abducted in front of his home by four people wearing ski masks and gloves, according to the Amber Alert issued after his kidnapping. Sandra Aponte, a spokeswoman for the Houston Police Department, said large numbers of officers and investigators were in the city tracking down leads in the case. The Amber Alert issued by authorities said the boy, Aladerto Villarreal, was seen being driven away in a green 1996 Pontiac four-door vehicle with Texas license plate WJV-70S. The Web site issued an update saying a second vehicle, a green Dodge Neon, might also have been involved. The Pontiac was occupied by two Hispanic males and two Hispanic females, the statement said, adding that one of the females grabbed the boy. Villarreal is described as a 5-foot-5-inch Hispanic male.
