Anderlecht lead into winter break
BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Anderlecht went into the Belgian winter break eight points clear after a 4-1 win over La Louviere.
First half goals from Croatian Ivica Mornar and Par Zetterberg set Anderlecht on course for their 15th success in 17th games.
Ukrainian Oleg Iachtchouk and Walter Baseggio were also on target after the break.
Second-placed Standard Liege won 2-1 against Germinal Beerschot to stay seven points clear of third-placed Genk.
Standard keeper Fabian Carini scored from the penalty spot, becoming the weekend's second goal-scoring goalkeeper following Bertrand Laquait's wind-assisted goal from his own half for Charleroi during their 2-2 draw with Mons-Bergen on Saturday.
