Vennegoor steers PSV to last eight
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (Reuters) - Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scored both goals as PSV Eindhoven beat Willem II Tilburg 2-0 in the fourth round of the Dutch Cup on Tuesday.
Second division Sparta Rotterdam produced the surprise of the night, knocking out RBC Roosendaal 2-0 with goals from Evgeny Levtsjenko and Kiran Bechan.
The only amateur team in the fourth round, Hoek, had their run ended with a 4-1 defeat by second division Heracles Almelo.
John Stegeman and Yuri Rose's double settled the match in the first half.
Collins John scored 17 minutes from time as 2001 winners Twente Enschede knocked out Ajax Reserves 1-0 to book their place in the quarterfinals.
Holders Utrecht host RKC Waalwijk on Wednesday while Ajax entertain NAC Breda and Vitesse Arnhem travel to Feyenoord.
