ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (Reuters) -- Valencia eased into the third round of the UEFA Cup with a 4-0 thrashing of Israel's Maccabi Haifa at a neutral venue in the Netherlands.
First half goals by Miguel Mista and Ruben Baraja and two in injury time by David Albeda and Miguel Angulo completed the 4-0 aggregate win following the surprise 0-0 first leg draw.
The second leg had originally been switched to Izmir, Turkey, because of the unstable security situation in Israel.
But the game was moved again, to the Sparta Stadium in Rotterdam, following the bomb attacks in Istanbul last month.
Maccabi had performed well to hold the Spanish side in the their own backyard but fell behind after 11 minutes on Thursday when Pablo Aimar set up Mista who gave goalkeeper Nir Davidovitch no chance.
Thirteen minutes later Baraja doubled the Spaniards' lead as he eased a Vicente cross in from close range.
Maccabi pressed in the second half but rarely threatened and were caught out at the end when Albelda and Angulo doubled the advantage in time added on.
