Coach Inacio is fired by Guimaraes
LISBON, Portugal -- Vitoria Guimaraes have sacked coach Augusto Inacio following their seventh Portuguese league defeat this season.
No replacement was named in the report on the club's official website but local media claim that Inacio will be replaced by former Setubal coach Jorge Jesus.
Guimaraes, based in northern Portugal, sacked Inacio after Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Rio Ave.
They are 16th in the 18-team table after winning just two of their 13 league matches this term.
Inacio, who had been in charge since March 2001, is the sixth Premier League coach to be sacked in Portugal this season.
