Cameroon in tough qualifying group
FRNAKFURT, Germany -- Cameroon have been drawn alongside the Ivory Coast and Egypt in Group 3 of the 2006 African World Cup qualifiers.
Libya, Sudan and Benin make up the remainder of the nations in what appears to be the toughest of the five pools.
Five groups of six teams play a league system on a home and away basis, with the five group winners qualifying for the finals in Germany.
"It's not an easy group but we are ranked No. 1 in Africa and we have to prove it," said Cameroon's German coach Winnie Schaefer.
