Colombo parts company with Reggina
MILAN, Italy -- Coach Franco Colombo has left Serie A club Reggina after the team's 6-0 defeat by Inter Milan, the Calabrian club said on Wednesday.
Reggina are 12th in Serie A but have picked up just one win in 10 games this season.
The club said in a statement that "the relationship between Reggina and Franco Colombo has been terminated."
Colombo was in his third spell at the club after rejoining them in the close season from Napoli.
The 48-year-old was in charge of Reggina when they were relegated to Serie B in 2001 but guided them back into the top flight a year later.
He then moved to Naples where he was sacked midway through last season.
Francesco Guidolin, who quit Bologna on the eve of this season, is favourite to succeed Colombo.
