BERLIN, Germany -- Bayern Munich playmaker Michael Ballack is now fully fit after struggling with a sore ankle but fellow-midfielder Owen Hargreaves is still sidelined by a hip problem.
Bayern said earlier this week that Ballack might have to be rested but coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said the German international would play in Saturday's Bundesliga game against Kaiserslautern.
"I see no reason to leave him out," said Hitzfeld. "He will continue to play. He's a leader and the team need him."
However, Hargreaves is still ruled out. Bayern are waiting for a precise diagnosis but fear the 22-year-old might be sidelined for another few weeks at least.
The Englishman missed last weekend's 0-0 draw with Borussia Moenchengladbach and also missed Bayern's 1-1 Champions League draw with Olympique Lyon on Tuesday.
