Pennant remains on loan with Leeds
LONDON, England -- Jermaine Pennant's loan spell at Leeds United has been extended by a month, his parent club Arsenal have confirmed. The winger joined Leeds in August on a two-month loan, with the option of a third and Pennant is expected to keep his place for Saturday's trip to Liverpool. But the 20-year-old has been refused permission to play in the League Cup for the Yorkshire club and is likely to miss the game against Arsenal on November 1. Pennant, an England under-21 international, had said that he hoped to prolong the loan deal further. "The move has given me a lot of experience, how to cope with the pressure of going to different stadiums and playing in different atmospheres," said Pennant. "I am glad Leeds gave me the opportunity and I hope we can extend my loan until the season now."
