Rangers miss chance to close up
GLASGOW, Scotland -- Scottish champions Rangers dropped two valuable points when they were held 1-1 at Motherwell in the premier league on Sunday. Georgian striker Shota Arveladze chipped Alex McLeish's side in front after 15 minutes at Fir Park but Stephen Pearson equalized 10 minutes later for Motherwell. Second-placed Rangers now trail Celtic by three points at the top of the table after their Glasgow rivals' 5-0 thrashing of Hearts on Saturday. Copyright 2003 Reuters. All rights reserved.
