Koller quits as Grasshoppers coach
ZURICH, Switzerland -- Macel Koller has resigned as coach of Swiss Premiership side Grasshoppers Zurich following five straight defeats, local media have reported.
The 42-year-old Koller, who had been involved with the club as a player and a coach for a total of 27 years, has already been linked with the coaching job at German Bundesliga side Cologne.
Friedelm Funck is currently in charge at the Bundesliga's basement club but reports suggest his job could well be on the line in Saturday's match away to leaders Stuttgart.
Koller's reign ended in the wake of the 2-1 loss away to fellow strugglers Wil that relegated Grasshoppers to bottom place.
