Covili to miss rest of ski season
PARIS, France -- French skier Frederic Covili will miss the rest of the World Cup season after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's giant slalom in Italy.
"It's a big blow for sure. I'll be out for at least six months, until June, maybe July," Covili told Tuesday's L'Equipe newspaper.
The 28-year-old had been in good form prior to the injury, holding third place in the giant slalom standings.
The report added that Covili will undergo an operation in early January by a specialized surgeon based in Lyon.
