2004 Tour of Spain route unveiled
A tough-looking 2004 Tour of Spain will start with a team time trial in Leon on September 4 and finish in Madrid on September 26, organisers of the race have announced.
The race will feature 11 stages in the mountains, plus a fearsome 29km individual time trial climb in the Sierra Nevada.
"It's a very difficult Tour of Spain," said Spaniard Roberto Heras -- who won the race for the second time last year.
"It is one for the climbers. There are a lot of finishes in the mountains and hardly a day to relax."
