FAISALABAD, Pakistan -- Pakistan completed a series win over New Zealand with victory by 51 runs in the third one-day match.

Openers Imran Farhat (91) and Yasir Hameed (63) set the home side on their way to making 314-7 from their 50 overs.

Hamish Marshall, on his first tour, scored an unbeaten 101 in reply, but New Zealand finished well short of their target at 263-7.

Pakistan also won the first two matches of the best-of-five series.

Farhat and Hameed took full advantage after Pakistan won the toss, putting together a stand of 142 off 185 balls for the first wicket.

Yousuf Youhana continued the attack with 64 from 53 balls and Abdul Razzaq added 34 from just 16 balls, including 23 runs in one over from Michael Mason.

Matthew Walker was the pick of the New Zealand bowlers, picking up four wickets including three from four balls in the final over.

Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar returned to the side after serving a three-match ban but it was Mohammad Sami who inflicted most damage to New Zealand's innings, finishing with three wickets for 22 runs.
