Mols back for Old Trafford clash
GLASGOW, Scotland -- Michael Mols has been given the all-clear to play for Rangers in their crunch Champions League tie against Manchester United on Tuesday. Rangers manager Alex McLeish confirmed Dutchman Mols was fit after twisting his knee in a Scottish League win over Partick on Saturday but fellow countryman Fernando Ricksen, who was stretchered off in that game with an ankle injury, has been ruled out. "Michael is now feeling a lot better and will be fit enough to play at Old Trafford," McLeish said. Ricksen's injury is not a serious one but he will play no part in the Group E, Old Trafford fixture. McLeish said: "His problem is not as bad as first feared but he is still not going to make it in time to face United. He should be fine for next weekend." Christian Nerlinger was also injured against Partick and has been ruled out with a calf pull. He joins Ronald de Boer and Steven Thompson on the long-term casualty list.
