Pumas on course for quarterfinals
SYDNEY, Oct 22 (Reuters) -- Argentina rumbled closer to the knock-out stages of the World Cup by running in seven tries in their 50-3 win over Romania in pool A on Wednesday.
The Pumas were strong up front as expected and number eight Pablo Bouza got two second-half tries after his pack had driven over the Romania line from scrums. Pacy fullback Juan Hernandez also grabbed a brace.
Romania flyhalf Ionut Tofan scored his team's points with a 50th minute penalty.
It was tackling which let winless Romania down the most and the Argentine backs frequently got past a couple of defenders before being grounded.
The result means a win in their final pool match against Ireland on Saturday would secure Argentina a place in the quarterfinals for the second straight World Cup.
