Moenchengladbach sack coach Lienen
BERLIN, Germany - - Borussia Moenchengladbach's Ewald Lienen became the first Bundesliga coach to lose his job this season when he was sacked on Sunday.
The German first division club said Lienen was dismissed with immediate effect and would be replaced by Holger Fach, formerly with regional league side Rot-Weiss Essen.
Moenchengladbach, five-times German champions, conceded their fourth straight defeat when they lost 2-0 at Hanover 96 on Saturday.
It left them in 15th place in the table six games into the season. Lienen, 49, was appointed Moenchengladbach coach in March.
