NASHVILLE, Tennessee (CNN) -- The funeral for June Carter Cash, the Grammy-winning wife of singer Johnny Cash who died Thursday, will be held Sunday, a family spokeswoman said.
The service will be at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, near Nashville, and will be open to the public, said Karen Wilder.
Cash died of complications from heart surgery that was performed May 7, her manager said. She was 73.
June Carter Cash was a singer, songwriter, musician, actress and author. She and her husband performed together on records and on stage, doing songs like "Jackson" and "If I Were a Carpenter," which won Grammys in 1967 and 1970, respectively.
She also co-wrote the 1963 hit "Ring of Fire," which was about falling in love with Johnny Cash. She married Cash in 1968.
