(InStyle) -- The event: The 22nd annual Sundance Film Festival, in Park City, Utah, January 16 through January 26.

THE ATTENDEES

You name it, they were there. Everyone from Jessica Lange to Bob Dylan to Ben Affleck and J. Lo, to Britney Spears and Fred Durst, to Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, to Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz, and the list goes on and on.

THE SCENE

The New York, Hollywood and European star contingents descended on this sleepy mountainside village to hawk their wares (movies) and wheel and deal (set up distribution for their movies). Celebrities jetted in and out all week, in full publicity mode, making the screenings, the press conferences, the dinners and, of course, the parties. The buzz on this year's movies? "Party Monster," starring Macaulay Culkin, "Spun" and "Levity" are among the ones to watch.

THE EVENTS

Ben Affleck (with J. Lo in tow) hosted a party for his Project Greenlight competition, while Kevin Spacey celebrated the new triggerstreet.com Web site. In Style threw a party Wednesday night at Zoom, and actor David Arquette hosted his own private bash.
