TOKYO, Japan -- Keijiro Kobyashi, the younger brother of Fuji Xerox chairman Yotaro Kobayashi, has been found dead in a luxury Tokyo hotel in an apparent suicide with his wife.

Japanese media reported that Kobyashi, 67, was found dead with his wife Hanako, 71, in a bedroom at the Hotel Okura on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Kobayashi was found holding a gun in his right hand, according to police. They said that by the time the two were found, they had been dead several hours.

Kyodo news agency reported that police suspect Kobayashi shot his wife and then himself, though no suicide note was found.

According to the Mainichi Shimbun, Kobayashi's wife had told acquaintances that he was worried about his poor health.

Kobayashi ran a plastic material wholesale company named Atlas, which had some business dealings with Fuji Xerox, according to investigators.

His wife Hanako was a daughter of the late former Foreign Minister Mamoru Shigemitsu.
