German clampdown on bikers' club
DUESSELDORF, Germany -- Up to 500 German police officers have taken part in pre-dawn raids in connection with a Hells Angels club.
Dozens of apartments and taverns belonging to members of the motorcycle club in the western city of Duesseldorf were raided on Sunday, police said.
Seven people were arrested for violating weapons and drugs laws, police said told Reuters.
Weapons, explosives and drugs were found in many of the 35 buildings searching in the operation that began at at 6 a.m. (0500 GMT).
In one club building police found a cache that included 500 grams (one lb) of explosive materials.
