LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Three of comedian Paula Poundstone's kids could return to her custody by Monday, nearly a year and a half after she was arrested on charges stemming from a drunken driving incident with her children.

On Friday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Bernard Kamins ordered a complete return of the children to Poundstone, said her attorney, Rich Pfeiffer.

The children's social worker must sign off on the judge's order, which could happen as early as Monday.

Poundstone's three adopted children were placed in protective custody after she was arrested on June 27, 2001, and her two foster children were permanently removed from her home.

Poundstone was sentenced to five years' probation last October after pleading no contest to felony child endangerment and a misdemeanor count of inflicting injury on a child.

The charges stemmed from Poundstone driving four of her children to get ice cream while intoxicated. Poundstone acknowledged the offense, but denied allegations of lewd conduct, which were dropped under the plea agreement.

Prosecutors have never revealed the precise details surrounding the original lewd conduct charges, but they have said the child endangerment resulted from Poundstone driving her children while intoxicated.

Poundstone was ordered to spend 180 days in a secure alcohol and drug treatment rehabilitation facility instead of jail.

Earlier this month, Kamins gave the comedian an "A-plus job" on her rehabilitation.

Poundstone began her career as a stand-up comic and appears on the syndicated television show "To Tell the Truth."

CNN's Karen Bonsignore and Mark Marino contributed to this report.
