Two dead in Netherlands blast

ARNHEM, Netherlands (CNN) -- A man and a woman died on Thursday when an explosion tore through a house in the central Dutch city of Arnhem.

"It was probably a grenade, but we are not sure about it yet," said Peter Meyer, a spokesman for the Arnhem Police Department.

Three other adults were wounded, one of them seriously, he said.

He told Reuters it was not an accident, but an attack.

The blast occurred at 7 p.m. local time (1700 GMT) in the south of the city, he said.
