Search warrants issued in Florida

By Susan Candiotti

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- The FBI has obtained search warrants for homes and post office boxes in Florida in connection with Tuesday's terror attacks, a law enforcement source told CNN.

The source said authorities were focusing on "South Florida ties to some of the people we're looking at."

Authorities are basing their investigation in part from passenger lists of the hijacked airplanes, as well as information from other sources.

One of the warrants was for Hollywood, Florida, the unnamed source said. Another was for a location in Daytona Beach.

Two hijacked passenger airliners slammed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, destroying the landmark buildings. Another airliner struck the Pentagon, igniting part of it. A fourth hijacked jet plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
