Baltimore teen shot outside high school
BALTIMORE, Maryland (CNN) -- A 17-year-old student is in critical condition after being shot Wednesday on the grounds of Lake Clifton-Eastern High School in Baltimore, police said. Authorities said they are searching for at least one suspect in the shooting of the unidentified ninth-grader. The gunfire broke out about 9 a.m. near a flagpole in front of the school, located in northeastern Baltimore. There is no word on a motive for the shooting. CNN affiliate WBAL reported that people were taken in for questioning, but it is not clear if they are considered witnesses or suspects. The wounded teen-ager was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where police said he was in critical condition.
