| Five killed in French rally accidentYONNE, France -- Five people have been killed and eight injured after a rally car careered off the track and into a group of spectators in northern France. Officials say the vehicle came off the road when it hit a bump at high speed and knocked over a telegraph pole which fell onto the crowd. The accident happened near the town of Cerisiers in Yonne, the region immediately south east of Paris. Officials said the five dead included a child and the driver of the car. Five of the injured -- including the driver's navigator -- are described as seriously hurt. At least 30 rescue vehicles were called to the scene. Victims were taken to hospitals in Sens and Auxerre.
