| Wall collapses at Baltimore construction site; 2 dead, 3 injured
WOODLAWN, Maryland (CNN) -- Two people were killed and three others were hurt when an eight inch thick cinder-block wall collapsed at a construction site in suburban Baltimore Wednesday. There is no word on the cause of the collapse. "We're just trying to take care of the medical aspect at this time," said Alonza Williams, a spokesman for the Baltimore County Fire Department. A thermal-imaging camera is being used to search the debris to be certain no one else is trapped, but Williams said the site supervisor believes all the workers -- a total of five people -- are accounted for. One of the injured workers was taken to Sinai Hospital. The two others were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Williams said the wall was possibly 25 to 30 feet high. Woodlawn is a suburb west of Baltimore. RELATED STORIES: 2 killed in Philadelphia building collapse RELATED SITES: See related sites about US | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
